Technical Designer, Women's Apparel - (Hybrid, WA)

NOTE:  This position is located at Nordstrom's downtown Seattle headquarters and follows a hybrid work model, with four days in the office and one remote workday each week.

 

As a Technical Designer, supporting women's apparel, you will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver the technical design aspects and process for your products - ensuring they meet the Nordstrom Brand DNA. If you are passionate and experienced in technical design and are detail-oriented, obsessed with apparel development and committed to providing outstanding customer service, this may be the job for you. 

  

A day in the life… 

  

• Collaborate with cross-functional peers and external partners to ensure product is aligned with development strategies and business needs
• Develop clear, concise Tech Packs to include measurement worksheet and construction images to align with Design intent and Brand DNA
• Lead fit sessions, and evaluate samples to ensure product specifications, quality and construction standards are being executed
• Follow the sample through fit approvals in development and production to ensure intent is met
• Communicate fit comments to suppliers to achieve desired corrections
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline product development and production processes, escalating when leadership involvement is needed

  

You own this if you have… 

  

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in Technical Design or related field
• A Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Apparel Design, Apparel Manufacturing, Pattern Making or related field or equivalent industry experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills along with clear, effective written and verbal communication
• Strong interpersonal skills;  ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. 
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$80,000.00 - $132,000.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
