Store Fulfillment Planner - Program Manager 2 - Seattle

The Store Fulfillment Planner will be a critical new member of the Operations Planning team, owning the monthly and weekly cadences of planning of Nordstrom and Rack Store Digital Fulfillment volumes. This role will work closely with the Fulfillment Planning Manager and own setting Store Fulfillment volumes at the Store/day level to inform Store Labor planning. Close partnership with Store Fulfillment Operations and Store HR functions will be critical for setting, improving, and operationalizing plans. Store Fulfillment volumes will also be translated to relevant transportation grains to inform Final Mile plans. 

This role will require strong data analytics skills, a pragmatic attitude, and comfort in driving decisions. As a net new role, you will be responsible for establishing new routines and relationships to achieve planning outcomes. The Store Fulfillment Planner is expected to balance on-going planning activities with one-off analysis and recommendations to support operational decisions. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. This role will require directly driving analysis as well as shaping the efforts of partner teams (e.g., Product, Data Science, Inventory) to achieve impactful business outcomes. 

The ideal candidate for this role has prior experience in Demand, Fulfillment, or Store Labor Planning in the Retail industry, as well as exposure to the implementation of new planning platforms.  

A day in the life… 

  • Analyze prior week/day plan variance to identify root causes and determine planning actions 

  • Meet with stakeholders to understand business levers (e.g., Sales trends, Store XYZ thresholds, Store Closures, etc.) 

  • Adjust and improve models to inform planning assumptions and variance analysis 

  • Provide user requirements and feedback to Product Management partners 

  • Support weekly business rhythms for Operations executive leadership 

  • Execute ad-hoc analysis using Excel and SQL to resolve planning risks or shape immediate decisions 

  • Support the creation of key deliverables (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Business Reviews) 

  • Establish and execute against quarterly priorities to drive improved planning outcomes 

You own this if you have… 

  • 5+ years of planning or analytics experience 

  • Advanced Excel and basic to intermediate SQL skills to support daily planning activities 

  • Ability to manage disparate priorities and coordinate various stakeholders to drive action 

  • Strong communication skills and comfort in engaging with business leaders 

  • Experience in Store Allocation, Retail Supply Chain, or Supply Chain Planning is preferred

Pay Range Details

Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$92,000.00 - $155,000.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
