Senior Program Manager - Automation Integration & Standardization - Supply Chain - Seattle

The Sr. Program Manager plays a critical role in advancing strategic investments across the supply chain, helping define and mature Nordstrom’s operating philosophy for the future. This role is focused on the integration and standardization of automation and material handling assets that bring Nordstrom closer to its customers. In parallel, the Sr. Program Manager applies strong business acumen and technical expertise to modernize existing assets by introducing new technologies and unlocking incremental capabilities. The role partners closely with cross-functional internal teams and external partners to ensure initiatives are planned, integrated, governed, and scaled consistently using Nordstrom’s established project management standards. 

 

A day in the life… 

 

  • Lead highly complex, cross-functional initiatives involving automation solutions, warehouse management designs, and system integrations, leveraging standardized processes and methodologies 

  • Establish and drive adherence to program and project reporting structures across leaders at all levels of the organization 

  • Provide end-to-end program ownership as needed, from solution design through integration, activation, and operational readiness of new MHE capabilities 

  • Ensure programs are executed to approved specifications in close partnership with internal teams and external vendors 

  • Consolidate milestones, scope, and financial inputs from supporting partners into a single integrated view to maintain program discipline and achieve intended outcome 

  •  Develop and maintain ROI governance frameworks in partnership with Finance and Operations to ensure expected value realization 

  •  Prepare and deliver clear, concise program communications across multiple leadership levels, including executive-level updates 

  • Proactively identify, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues; facilitate transparent communication on milestones, dependencies, and required actions across stakeholder teams 

  • Coach and mentor team members on solutions, standards, and best practices to support site readiness, integration, and continuous improvement 

  • Participate in cross-functional integration forums to ensure operational workflows, business processes, system requirements, and technical specifications align with scope and strategic objectives 

  • Govern scope changes to ensure process, system, and equipment solutions remain value-accretive and aligned to customer and business outcomes 

  • Coordinate and manage build, testing, training, change management, and stabilization activities to support reliable operations and scalable solutions 

  • Lead on-site execution and transition activities to ensure business requirements, KPIs, and success measures are met, with mechanisms in place to detect, track, and address gaps 

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standardized program documentation, templates, and frameworks to support consistent execution 

  • Perform other related duties as assigned 

  • Travel required: 25%+ 

 

You own this if you have… 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, information systems or similar field 

  • 5+ years of progressive project management and project execution experience. This position requires a high degree of project execution (site implementation) knowledge  

  • Proven experience delivering large scale, enterprise projects, that include launching greenfield and brown field (retrofitted) facilities programs 

  • Unique ability to review and accept complete cross functional requirements (engineering, software, site improvement etc.) and manage delivery to those requirements with internal and external partners for successful deployment for scope, timeline and budget 

  • Manage the playbook for deployment to meet business requirements and operational capacity across all stakeholders  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and influence leaders at all levels 

  • Minimum 4+ years technical experience working with supply chain systems (warehouse management, transportation management, order management, ERP etc.) 

  • Supply chain expertise in retail or consumer goods preferred; with specific focus on logistics and distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, or store operations and understanding of industry dynamics  

  • Ideally certified in project management disciplines (Project Management Professional – PMP) or demonstrated like experiences 

  • Superior organizational and problem-solving skills

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. 
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$103,500.00 - $175,000.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
