Program Manager II, Environmental - Hybrid (Seattle, WA)

The National Environmental Program Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and implementing environmental programs and policies across the organization’s national operations. This role ensures compliance with environmental regulations, promotes sustainability initiatives, and drives continuous improvement in environmental performance. The manager collaborates with internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and external partners to align environmental strategies with organizational goals. 

A day in the life...

  • Program Leadership & Strategy 
    • Develop and manage national environmental programs, including sustainability, waste reduction, emissions control, and resource conservation. 
    • Establish long-term environmental goals and performance metrics. 
    • Lead cross-functional teams to implement environmental initiatives. 
  • Regulatory Compliance 
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, EPCRA, SPCC, Clean Air Act…). 
    • Monitor changes in environmental laws and assess their impact on operations. 
    • Prepare and submit required environmental reports and documentation. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement 
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for environmental matters with government agencies, NGOs, and community groups. 
    • Provide guidance and training to regional teams on environmental best practices. 
    • Communicate program goals and progress to senior leadership. 
  • Data Management & Reporting 
    • Collect, analyze, and report environmental data to track performance and identify areas for improvement. 
    • Develop dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Risk Management 
  • Identify environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies. 
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective actions related to environmental issues. 

You own this if you have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental program management, preferably in a national or multi-site capacity. 
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks. 
  • Proven leadership and project management skills. 
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Experience with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) is a plus. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Certification in environmental management (e.g., CHMM, REM, LEED). 
  • Experience with carbon footprint analysis and climate action planning. 
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting and corporate sustainability strategies.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. 
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$102,500.00 - $170,500.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
