Product Manager 2 - Stores Hardware Team (Hybrid - Seattle)

As a Product Manager 2 supporting the in-store hardware team, you’ll help discover and recommend devices to unlock the next generation of employee and customer experiences in-store. Your daily partnership with the engineering teams supporting our in-store devices will ensure that we prioritize the work that drives the biggest impact to our customer and employee experiences in-store. You’ll also work closely with other product managers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements to inform the next generation of hardware devices.
The Product Manager 2 is a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, championing the employee and customer experience evolution through data-driven insights using a variety of qualitative and quantitative inputs and delivering key features, functionality, and programs for Nordstrom. Product Management is responsible for making sure we build the right products and features for our customers and business. To accomplish that, product managers plan the product roadmap and prioritize the applicable technology backlog, lead product discovery, and measure and communicate results of the portfolios in production, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment.
A day in the life…
Develop product roadmaps and prioritize features and solutions based on feedback, competitive analysis, user experience, and business objectives
Establish and monitor metrics for defining success, including Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the products
Prioritize features and develop quarterly priorities and annual backlog
Establish and execute tactical plans for delivery of key workstreams supporting the strategic roadmap
Assess feature/strategy value and success metrics in partnership with finance and business teams
Support tactical prioritization and ensure alignment across business and technical stakeholders
Support requirements definition inclusive of wireframes, process flows, user stories, and other supporting artifacts
Contribute and execute on the go-to-market strategy inclusive of UAT, Communication Strategy, Change Management Strategy, and post go-live validations
Support ongoing system health and performance by supporting key incident triage and ongoing health and maintenance initiatives
Partner with UX, Research, and Engineering on hardware solutions
Act as key point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates, gathering feedback, and fostering strong communication across teams
You own this if you have…
3+ years of product management or equivalent experience with technology, retail, or ecommerce company preferred
3+ years of hardware specific experience in the retail or related industry. Strong preference for candidates with experience combining both hardware solutions and software experiences at scale
Basic ability to define, measure, and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities
Basic technical background and understanding of software development principles, including Agile development, and testing methodologies
Strong attention to detail
Strong sense of ownership and drive on deliverables with an intellectual curiosity to continuously learn and grow
Ability to build relationships cross-functionally with multiple teams from areas such as Hardware Asset Management, Support Engineering, and multiple software Engineering teams
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including presenting to various levels within a matrixed organization
Experience working with internally built and 3rd party software solution providers, collaborating and influencing across diverse audiences
