Manager Program Management, Business Readiness and Deployment -Hybrid (Seattle, WA)
The Manager, Program Management – Business Readiness and Deployment leads a team of program managers responsible for executing training and enablement strategies that support successful adoption of new processes, tools, and initiatives across Nordstrom’s Merchandising organization. This role partners closely with the Learning & Leadership (L&L) Center of Excellence in HR, Process, Program and Enablement teams, and Product and Tech to drive coordinated, scalable rollout plans. A strategic people leader and systems thinker, this manager simplifies complex change, aligns resources to priorities, and ensures high-impact execution. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in stakeholder engagement, change management, people leadership, instructional design, and performance measurement, with the ability to drive outcomes and long-term organizational readiness.
A day in the life…
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of program managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and growth. Make resourcing and hiring decisions to build and sustain a high-performing team, aligned with strategic priorities.
- Build strong partnerships across the organization, collaborating with product, technology, process, program, and learning teams to drive alignment and uncover new opportunities to work better together.
- Lead the creation of training plans, learning materials, and communications that are clear, well-organized, drive understanding and engagement, and are aligned with industry standards — delivering with minimal oversight.
- Facilitate both in‑person and virtual training sessions, tailoring your approach to different audiences.
- Design how the team measures training effectiveness and drive the path forward to improve deployment strategies, leveraging data and feedback.
- Manage multiple complex projects at once, staying resilient, proactive, and solution‑oriented even when challenges arise.
You own this if you have…
- 6+ years of experience in training, deployment, project/program management, change management, or business process improvement.
- 3+ years of direct people management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and team development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, complex and ambiguous environment.
- Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, and sustainment methodologies.
- Strong experience developing and delivering training content across multiple formats (in-person, virtual, e-learning).
- Proven ability to drive change at scale through training and deployment strategies, with the strategic mindset to connect team work to broader business goals.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical information into simple, actionable steps — and coach others to do the same.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Preference for: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and Change Management certification.
