Data Analyst 3 - Inventory Optimization - HYBRID

As a part of our Inventory Optimization team, the Data Analyst 3 is a strategic partner responsible for elevating data-driven decision-making across critical inventory lifecycle functions, including returns optimization, intra-network movement, and initial positioning. 

This role requires a unique blend of data expertise and deep business understanding, demanding resourcefulness to structure analysis from ambiguous, complex operational data. You will translate complex challenges into high-impact insights, directly influencing operational strategy and serving as an analytical coach and expert for non-technical stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with leaders in Supply Chain, Inventory, Merchandising, Data Science, Product Management and Engineering influencing inventory strategies that support all customer journeys.  

A Day in the Life...  

  • Lead analytical projects to optimize core inventory functions: returns processing, intra-network flow, and initial positioning strategies, focusing on tangible business outcomes. 

  • Confidently ingest, structure, and analyze data from various sources, making informed assumptions and proactively documenting limitations to deliver timely, actionable insights despite data complexity. 

  • Design and deploy comprehensive analytics toolkits (reports, dashboards) that directly enable Operations and Merchandising teams to make high-quality, data-driven decisions. 

  • Synthesize complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives and visualizations. Communicate business impact and recommendations effectively to leadership and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Partner with data engineering to support robust data pipelines (ETL). Dive deep into Operations and Merchandising metrics to ensure consistent definitions and alignment across analytical approaches. 

  • Coach peers on leveraging new BI tools and advanced analytical techniques. Identify and replace manual, legacy reporting with scalable, automated solutions. 

You Own This If You Have 

 

  • 5+ years as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent combination of experience and education; Master’s degree preferred 

  • Direct experience within Operations, Supply Chain, or Retail Inventory Management a plus. 

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying, data wrangling, and optimization. 

  • Expertise in developing user-friendly dashboards using modern BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker). 

  • Demonstrated ability to structure and execute analysis despite high data ambiguity. 

  • Exceptional ability to translate technical findings into clear business objectives and strategy. 

  • Outstanding communication skills, with proven success in simplifying complex analyses for executive and non-technical audiences. 

  • High level of ownership, driving projects independently from problem definition to final action.

Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$102,500.00 - $170,500.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
